Are we chuffed or what? (The answer is yes, we are)...
Kate Southall, she of the Plex and formerly Katy Jay off of the radio, was asked some months ago to help provide a snapshot of the best unsigned music in the Midlands - to be permanently archived and made live on the interweb.
She did just that - and well over 60% of her submitted music made the final 100 to be found on www.pilot-project.co.uk. No mean feat considering how much was submitted by various curators.
We, ourselves, were responsible for 12 of the recorded artists and are thrilled that what we produce has been seen as examples of the finest music coming out of the West Midlands today...
So - huge thanks to Kate Musoplex), Robin Valk (Radio To Go), Andy Linehan (British Library) and congratulations to Skull Fox, The Cubans, Discotheque Wreck, Jaayz, Strikes, The E-Go's, Zanzibar, The Ganders, Totally Suspect, The Yipes, Court Lane, Police Bastard and anyone I missed.
A special mention to Fatbwoi 5 and all the other bands that made the grade thanks to Kate and her time on the Freshly Picked radio show. You all owe her a bunch of flowers!!!

It's very kind of you to mention the Project, Andy. We're kind of pleased at this first tentative baby step. Still digesting the reactions; then comes planning for website updates; then comes planning for more content.
